Hello, and thank you for checking out Tails and Whiskers! My name is Frankie Joergens, I am originally from Germany but have lived in Northern Virginia for over 30 years. A former accountant by trade, I have been a professional pet sitter since 2006, first working for a pet sitting service for several years where I learned the industry inside and out and then starting my own company, Tails and Whiskers Pet Sitting, in 2012. I am highly organized and efficient (my accounting background comes in handy!), plus able to wear multiple hats: business owner, dog walker, as well as friend/adviser/confidante to my clients. As a member of Pet Sitters International, I stay current with information about new trends in the pet sitting industry, and I am certified in pet first aid and CPR. I reside in Lake Ridge with my husband and daughter, and our two dogs and two cats complete our family.
I have worked with 4-legged friends for 50 years. I am a second generation dog groomer and have owned my own grooming shop for 22 years. Currently, I am a dog mom to 4 Labrador Retrievers which I have done agility training with, as well as competed in several other dog sports. Now that I am retired from grooming, I enjoy spending my days with a variety of pets and love every minute of it!
Hello, I am Liz, and in 2019 I moved from England to Virginia for my husband's job. We are pet parents to a Lhasa Apso and a ginger rescue cat. Frankie and I met when she took care of my kitty, Rusty. I spent my childhood alongside my mum at dog shows and walking our dogs in the English countryside. We had cocker spaniels and German shepherds. As a teen, I had a job in a boarding kennel, and since then my goal has always been to work with animals! When my sons were young, I worked with special needs children as a trained pre-school assistant, and before moving here, I had a job in a doggie daycare and grooming salon for 2 years. Working with animals is a dream job for me - I love all breeds of dogs and cats and their personalities. I also love the wildlife here that we don't see in England!
I’ve always considered myself to be an animal lover. As a child, we had dogs and cats primarily, but I also helped on my grandparents’ farm with chickens, pigs, and horses. My husband and I continued our love for pets with turtles and fish and expanded to cats and dogs. I met Frankie when she looked after our elderly deaf dachshund, and I was very impressed with her attention to detail and can-do attitude! I am excited to look after and care for your pets. I pride myself on caring for your pets as I would for my own, giving the clients peace of mind while away from their fur babies
I’ve loved animals my whole life. I’ve always wanted a profession that involved animals and this is a great start. I get to meet and build a connection with many different types of pets including dogs, cats, and the occasional bird. I also have the opportunity to meet all different types of people! I love the flexibility and that it doesn’t feel like a job. It’s a joy working with every pet I encounter.
Hi, I’m LeAnne I have been an animal lover since childhood. I grew up mainly with dogs but also had a pet cat. I currently am a dog mom of a cute and spunky puggle named Cooper. I am also a proud mom and grandma.
